Link wheels: an effective seo strategy

The highly targeted traffic from search engines are not a secret for you and me, but due the huge amount of competition that exists in the blogosphere, it is very difficult to penetrate the high search engine traffic. Today a search on Google for seo can result in a huge collection of strategies to make it to the top of the search engine, most of them include scams, themes, plugins and link building schemes.

Let me make it clear that if you want high exposure on search engines there is no automated technology. I always knew that web 2.0 sites are great source of  targeted links, but all my attempts failed, but recently I heard about link wheels on many blogs and forums, I created a link wheel consisting of 5 web 2.0 sites pointing to Dumb Little Blogger, after a week it started to show its effects, my Google links were 432 before and after I created one link wheel it touched 497. Not increased a lot but a series of  link wheels which i'm planning to create can result in serious traffic.

What are link wheels?
For those of you who are hearing it for the first time let me tell you that link wheels are a series of web 2.0 properties which link to your landing page (that is your main website or blog) and to other properties in your link wheel. It is called so because the series of properties linking to one another and each of them to the landing page forms a wheel. Linking directly to your landing page is also a good option, but direct links are very weak and take very little effect on your page rank. Google finds a wheel of links interconnected much more powerful and generates great effect on your main landing page.

How to create a link wheel?
Creating a link wheel is very easy, it takes up to 4 hours to create a powerful link wheel. Just follow the instructions below to create your own link wheel,

  • First of all create an account in some major web 2.0 properties, I would recommend Hubpages, Squidoo, Blogger, Wordpress (hosted), Bukisa, Ezine etc.
  • After that select an article and make sure that article is not present in your blog.
  • Submit it to all the above web 2.0 properties with little or literally no modification in your article.
  • Send out a link back to your blog in each of your properties.
  • Then send another link to one another properties forming a wheel
  • Create up to 5 link wheels and wait for at least a week to notice changes.
